Christian
grew up in Northern Maine in the town of Van Buren. From as far
back as he can remember he always wanted to be a stylist. In
2001 he enrolled himself at Headhunters School of Hair Design of
Portland Me. Half way through his course he took a chance on
exploring the country and put his career on hold. During this
time he discovered his passion for make-up through this
discovery he was able to travel around applying make-up for
different events. In 2005 Christian relocated to the Worcester
area where he finished his Cosmetology course and started
working at Hair Excitement of Sutton. After three years under
the direction of Sandra Roy he decided to make a career move to
Jeffrey Robert Salon & Spa. This is where Christian was able to
apply his talents as Junior Artistic Director, Television, along
with being publish in local magazines. Christian was a character
on the hit reality show “Split Ends” for two seasons. During his
time at Jeffrey Robert Salon he also had the privilege of
hosting the city of Worcester’s Pride celebration 5 years in a
row as his alter ego Miss Crystal. Christian has held
fundraisers for different organizations that help different
communities in need over the years. He decided in 2009 that it
was time to venture out on his own and thus he created Salon
647. Since 2009 he has grown Salon 647 from being just himself
to what it is now. Christian truly believes, that to be
successful in your career you must have passion in what you do.
One thing that most people don’t know about Christian is that
when not in his element, he is very shy.

I found
this salon on the internet. After reading all the excellent
reviews on it I decided to give it a try. I was in desperate
need of hair color since the hairdresser who did my hair
before did a terrible job. I made an appointment with
Francesca Matisoo. She was wonderful! Very pleasant and
friendly. She took the time to talk with me about my
preferences and look I was looking for. I am very picky
about my hair and she exceeded all my expectations. There
was not rush during my appointment. I felt I was NOT in a
"factory" where the only goal for the hairdressers is to
take as many customers as possible. I did not have to wait
for my appointment as I used to in every salon I went before
(I tried many salons). Francesca was all about quality and
customer satisfaction. Francesca did a wonderful job on my
hair. My color looks great as well as the haircut! Happy I
found her! Thank you Francesca.
- Anna C / Worcester, MA
I always get compliments when Lori cuts and colors my hair. She
helps with ideas for styling at home. And, she pampers my
daughters when they come in as well....finally, they enjoy going
to the hair salon! Highly recommend.
- Kathy D / Worcester, MA
Francesca is the best! She really understands my hair type and
preferences, but always puts a fresh and updated spin on my
needs- tons of compliments from everyone on my hair since I have
been going to her. The products she recommends have made my
color and shine last forever, so if you are looking for good
recs, she knows...
- Grace Kelly / Holden, MA
I have been going to this
salon since it opened. And I have been going to Christen
since he was in Kelly square. I followed him to his new
salon, and would follow him anywhere else he goes. I have
never gotten more compliments on my hair since going to him,
even from other stylists.
My hair was over-processed by
my previous stylist. I am a natural blonde, and my last
stylist bleached it to the point it was straw. He returned
it to my natural color, and treated my hair to get it back
to a healthy condition. My hair has never been softer, or
full. My hair went from long, stringy, over bleached mess of
straw to a full head of gorgeous blonde curls. I am always
pleased to go and sit in his chair and have a nice chat too.
He keeps me entertained the entire time I'm there. I would
recommend this salon to anyone and everyone.
ps. He has his own coupons
that he sends out every month via email.
- Allison T / Hopedale, MA
I have
been going to Salon 647 for more than three years now.
Before
finding the salon's secret weapon: Christian, I had been to
many other salons in the Central Mass region.
I
have been to the high-priced city "exclusive" salons as well
as the small town folksy salons. I was thirsty for a
professional that would listen to me and do what I wanted.
Instead, time after time, I got self-serving, narcissistic,
self-proclaimed "artists" that could care less about my
limited time each morning to spend on grooming my hair.
I was shown how "using a flat iron would give me the look I
desired". I have no interest in purchasing a flat iron, not
to mention using one.
Christian
cuts and styles my hair in a manner that doesn't require
special tools to look great. The way he cuts/styles doesn't
need the assistance of implements. It looks great every day
with minimum work on my part. Wash, blow dry, and Label M
products (sold exclusively at Salon 647) is all it takes!!
I am
extremely particular!!! As a mother who works inside and
outside of the home, I don't have much time to spend on
myself. So, going to the salon to spend time doing something
just for me is not only important; it is something that I
treasure.
Christian
not only suggested updates to my short hairstyle; he spent
time listening to me. His sensitivity to my needs was
relaxing, reassuring and refreshing. He never pressured me
to do anything-- he presented me with options that fit with
my lifestyle. His easy, confident manner gave me the
confidence to try a modern update to my current style.
I have
never been someone who makes appointments ahead of time
because I never wanted to commit to going back. Christian
is the ONLY stylist that I have booked appointments far in
advance. Two cuts in advance, in fact!
Perhaps
the best compliment I could pay would be the fact that I
bring my teenaged children to Christian for their styling
needs as well. My daughter was empowered by Christian to
try several new styles over the years. One time she brought
a magazine clipping to him for an idea. He didn't just
replicate the "celebrity hair style"; he adapted it to her
type of hair and she honestly looked better than the celeb!
My daughter is hard to please. She could not stop looking
at herself in the mirror in the salon and all the way home
in the visor mirror as well! I swear, I have never seen her
so happy with her hair.
I am so
glad that I found 647 Salon. I get compliments on my hair
on a regular basis....that's a nice bonus as well.
Kaylin Reynolds has been my hair stylist for nearly 5years.
Of all the hair
stylists/salons I have been to, Salon 647 is the
absolute best.
Kaylin is a color expert
and cuts my hair just the way i like all the time.
Plus, she beautiful
person outside as well genuinely nice person.
Love her... Love going
there.
Thanks Kaylin for
making me look so beautiful!!! LOL
